ARMANI called his Emporio show this morning ‘Fancy Girl’ and gave us ten keywords (or phrases) that he said would give the Armani girl’s style a “fresh sense of vivacity”: glamour; geometric deco; lightness; sheath; daywear; sleekness; an array of shades of colour; shape; form; fancy. And that was just the beginning.
He set about solving the problem of how to wear shorts and miniskirts if you don’t feel comfortable revealing yourself – by teaming them with sheer, ruched three-quarter length legging or tube skirts that added a sporty element to more grown-up suits or shiny trapeze tunic dresses and gave the general look a more youthful silhouette. “A sort of sporty couture,” said Kate Phelan.
There’s always so much to see when Armani takes the limelight – and today’s layered up looks, in spectrums of the same shades of pale blue and grey, had an easy elegance. Even if you don’t consider yourself an Armani girl, the models walking two-by-two in similar-but-not-quite-identical outfits is undeniably a spectacle - and no wardrobe would be worse off with some chunky, geometric, glossy jewellery or a triangular handled, oversized handbag from the Armani workshop, thank you very much.
Bright pink organza ruffled dresses and lace up, kitten heeled booties are going to be an acquired taste - if that - and were at odds with the more casual luxe of layered up silk hoodies, beautifully cut tapered trousers, washed leather jackets and silk macs with ruffled hems, while a glittering palm print in pink or turquoise and silver were a far more appealing way to dress up.

BIRMINGHAM STYLE LIVE (24th-26th September 2010)

I got to experience the very special Style Birmingham Live catwalk at the Birmingham Town Hall with George Lamb presenting the gorgeous outfits presented by the beautiful models. The tickets were a MASSIVE bargain for money, standard tickets priced at only £10.00. With the standard tickets including a goody bag with at least £10 worth of stuff inside. The Golden tickets were being priced at £30.00 which includes front row seats to view the clothes at there best, lunch at a top end cafe or restraint , a VIP goody bag plus your own personnel chauffeur.

The Elemis Bus will give visitors up-to- the-minute advice on the latest skincare products.

And of course Harvey Nichols will be one of the headline-grabbing stores taking part in the amazing fashion show staged at the Town Hall.

Jimmy Choo appears on Britains next top model.

As seen on Britain's next top model , my personal favourite top model series, the final 5 girls bags was packed and they got sent to Malaysia where they were given the opportunity to meet the famous and very well known Malaysian-born Jimmy Choo. Jimmy Choo tragically didn't set a challenge to the girls but did give a pep talk and also join them in a group dance with head-judge Elle McPherson, a few traditional dancers and plus the Malaysian minister of tourism. An event full day for all.

I really can't wait until the final, I wonder what the girls will get up too.
